About Ann Arbor Contras

Back in the 1960's, the people of Nicarauga were in danger of losing their freedom to a Communist uprising. The Communists were being supported by Cuban Dictator Fidel Castro, and money and supplies were pouring into the country from Cuba, red China, and the Soviet Union as well. In the U.S., President Reagan worried that Communist success in Nicaragua would lead to Communist domination of all of Central America. To prevent this, he provided support to a Nicaraguan group that fought against the Communists, with eventual success, and thus protected the free governments in Latin America from Communist takeovers. Because the freedom fighters were fighting against the leftists, they adopted the Spanish word, Contras, as their name. (Contra, of course, translates to "against" in Spanish.) Here in Ann Arbor, the political scene and basic ideology is clearly on the left side of the spectrum. Conservatives have little voice and almost no influence. To provide a voice against this dominant leftist position, we have established the Ann Arbor Contras. As a group, we stand against the dominant local government and its mainly socialist and often anti-American views, and extend this Conservative position to the State and National levels of public policy and political action. We solicit comments on any and all public policy issues. We give priority to insightful comments about the Ann Arbor political scene.

New Caliphate

Radical Muslims throughout the world propagandize constantly about how their plan is to restore Muslim religious culture upon the entire area that it once occupied. That means ALL of the Middle East, the entire North shore of Africa, the Balkans, Spain and much of south-central Europe. Imams (Muslim religious leaders) preach endlessly about bringing conversion toIslam throughout the world, including the conviction that Infidels (all Non-Muslims) must be converted to Islam, or be eliminated.



Western Civilization is under attack and must militantly resist the incursion of this antagonistic value system.

New conversation about Muslims

I have heard that the Radical Muslim group has the goal of re-establishing the "Caliphate." Please inform me about what this means, and add any information that would be good for me to know.
